Used in the production of birchwood table legs.
This specialised solution was designed for a subcontractor of a well-known furniture company. They were seeking a tool to drill across wood fibres to several operations at a time. The drill was to be used in the production of birch wood table legs. We prepared a specialised solution for that company in the form of a step drill with carbide tips.
The tool was designed to drill across fibres and perform several machining operations at a time: drilling, reaming, chamfering both sides of the hole, and rounding the work piece edges. Prepared in such a way, the tool guaranteed a significant increase in production efficiency. The HM step drill is highly effective in the processing of various types of wood.
An added advantage is the possibility of changing part of the tool – the first drill, which is the element which is often damaged and first to get blunted. Thus, the user is not obliged to buy a new tool, but only to replace one of its parts.
